I cannot thank Octavia House and its staff enough for all the incredible work they have put into the welfare of my child's mental, emotional and physical wellbeing. The teachers and therapists here offer the most nurturing, stable and safe environment for any child with special educational needs, and that is clearly seen by the strategies my daughter uses to help regulate herself, and becoming more confident within her learning. On site, I feel very welcomed in as it's such a lovely atmosphere. The teachers and therapists here are my ultimate heroes simply because they've made such a huge difference towards my daughter's growth. They have the upmost skill, expertise, dedication and caring nature. I couldn't ask for a better school.

Octavia House Schools have such a sensitive and nurturing way they work with children who have complex needs which helps them become confident in every way. My young person actually shared with me that she loves to come to school and said "I am truly happy now."

I wanted to send our heartfelt congratulations to the school team for working so hard for your pupils and families and for shaping their educational experiences in such a positive and life changing way…I understand that it is not easy to gain a rating of ‘outstanding in all areas’ particularly in the first year of a school’s existence however one of the things that struck me as impressive about the leadership of the school was that this was absolutely a steadfast goal from the outset – not just to have the rating which of course is very important, but to be operating at that standard day to day for the benefit of your pupils, parents and team. Congratulations to you all…thank you for everything that you do for the children and families of Octavia House Schools.

As a mental health practitioner for several pupils who have come to Octavia House Schools following difficult experiences in mainstream schools, I have been incredibly impressed with the staff and ethos at this school. The small classroom-based learning is supported by an ethos of nurture, acceptance, creativity and gentle challenge which has enabled my clients to access education and re-experience themselves as successful learners. The close working relationships that OHS staff offer to the families and outside professionals of pupils attending their school is equally as important in helping children feel safe and excited to attend. A brilliant school!

It works for him, being in a small setting. To have actual qualified teachers working with SEMH kids is hard to find. I feel he is safe with you and with smaller classes. He's thriving - his opinions are listened to and there is lots of improvement. I can see he's happier at school and he loves it more than he ever has. He used to try and escape all the time from mainstream but he'll always come to OHS. He feels wanted there and he loves it. I like the approach - I can't thank you enough, the staff are my knights in shining armour.
